This may have already been discussed, but what are the preferences for breaks in pants?

I tend to like the quarter to no break look, but I understand a half break is the norm and classy. Do different pants and what they will be worn for constitute the need for different breaks?

Not a good day in court today
Client will not be happy

I am wearing a land's end dress shirt and land's end tie
the tie sucks
Too thin so the knot is small
and the dimple is not pretty
Shirt is okay
Just needed a clean shirt that is wrinkle free

half break is more classic; no/little break is more trendy/fashion-forward. never get a full break.

For my slimmer fitting pants I have no break and the cuff is stitched on a slight angle so it covers half way down the back of my shoes. but for the ones that aren't as slim, half break. If you do no break with fuller fitting pants, it looks like you are wearing swishies lol

So, the baby is cookin' along.....6 months next week

I'm looking at diaper bags and I've found two that I'm liking. One, is cheaper and probably would have little to no use after the kid stops requiring a diaper bag. The other, more expensive, will have use afterwards.

The first one is the Timbuk2 Stork bag......either in black or the gray/blue.

OR, the Filson Original Sportsmans Bag.

(I kind of like the hunter orange for some reason)

Thoughts?? Is the filson worth double?

If any of you have heard that story about how Steve Jobs picking out furniture, that's how I am with wall art. There's a vintage Vredestein Tyres sign hanging in the entryway that my dad found in the woods behind our house when we lived outside of Philippeville, Belgium. It's the only thing on my walls that I really, really like. I don't like the pictures above my bed and will be replacing them, along with adding something to the other wall in the bedroom. I believe the Persian rugs were purchased when my dad was working in Egypt.

View from entry. There's a coat closet on the left and bathroom on the right. I didn't take any pictures of the balcony, but I have a simple table and chairs.

Kitchen

Eat-in counter that's used more often as a desk (note the 4" stack of contracts on the far right that need to be reviewed.)

Couch - I hate the way this looks in pictures. It looks better in person.

Bedroom

And my office, where I probably spend much more time than at my apartment.

But at least I've managed to hang some things up on the wall.

OT, but dwass, I was traveling with one of my saleswomen who lives in Chicago and she was telling me she and her husband are renting a dinky apartment for $2000/month. How much are houses up that way? Seems ridiculous.

I see Francis Coppola Claret and Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc... hard to make out the other bottles is the one to the right E. Guigal Cote du Rhone?

Apt is nice, is it still a work in progress? Get some colors on the wall, liven it up a little bit. Your bed needs a woman's touch lol.... just playing, but the apt is nice. Didnt know you played the guitar, unless that is just decoration for poosy

For reference, my apartment is less than 700sqft and costs me just under $1,500/mo. They sort of treat things like rent control (only marginal increases year over year) but my place would be about $1,800/mo if I was signing a new lease. It's worth mentioning that my building is LEED certified so my utilities are LOW. Heat/AC is usually like $27-29/mo. In January when we hit -43* and I was working from home more, it spiked to like $75.

Obviously I wouldn't live in a place this size if I was married and yes, I'd expect to pay at least $2k/mo for what I'd consider a nice place. I'd want a two bedroom unit so here's the floorplan for the cheapest 2br in my building. It's $2,650/mo not including parking, which is $225 per covered spot and $185/mo per uncovered spot. You can definitely find cheaper rent elsewhere, but it'd probably equal out over the year when you consider the difference in utility costs.

So if you guys didn't see my other thread, I'll be moving to SoCal for a new job. I'm now in the market for a weekend bag, as it looks like I'm gonna be taking a lot of weekend trips away from Cali, both for business and personal reasons. Any suggestions? I walked into a Fossil store yesterday and was floored by the $300 price tag of a leather bag. I always thought they were much lower end.
