I dunno if jl fits my foot or not
but I am comfortable with shoes that retails about 500-700
but beyond that meh

the store was empty
one guy standing behind the counter in a suit
just said hello when I walked in and that's it
pretty sad

No joke. I actually know his name. I should drop it sometime just for a laugh.

Yeah...I would have issues in $1.2k shoes. I can't imagine my life in shoes like that - I feel like those shoes are for people who don't actually walk with the unwashed masses.

That funny to hear someone say "unwashed masses." I'd never heard that phrase before and just today I heard my mom say that her snooty aunt used to use that phrase when her cousin wanted to go to the public pool.

Wow. The only ones I've ever seen were $1199 at BB. I've read a lot of people say Carmina is 95% of the shoe at 50% of the price.

My dad always said it (sarcastically) growing up. Surprised you'd never heard it before.

my william 2's are impossibly wide. i'm very much considering a pair of phillip 2's and lopez loafers in brown suede... hopefully the phillips before christmas and te lopez next spring. my dad just got some phillips 2's and they're fantastic.

I just came across a job listing for a position in the dept of homeland security
the requirements pretty much fit... and the duties seem interesting
I might as well apply and see what happens
I would need to move to dc though

Thanks!

EDIT: I was trying a slightly different angle for my picture. I dunno that it works any better than my usual cut-off-the-head shots.

$1,155 and half off + tax made them a hair over $600 all said and done. I like them enough to pay retail though with bonus money, because I view that as free money. On normal salary, eh... They're like half my monthly rent. I try to convince myself it's okay because "they'll last forever." Basically, it's taken me nearly a year of self deliberation to be just "okay" with spending retail on them.
