Let me piggy back off this thread and not create another. Guys, if you were in my shoes what would you do. I'm looking to refresh a 330i with sport suspension. (going to assume the springs are still viable to reuse @ 200k miles?)

I am fairly set on B4's for my needs.

I already have the M3 top hats and new bearings from my other car. I understand 330i/non-m sport springs will NOT fit these. I would be required to purchase M3 springs, and the M3 variant of the B4's (with the longer tapered thread and fully extended piston rod)

The other option would be to purchase new top hats and bearings, reuse the springs, and purchase the 330i/non-m variant of the B4's (with the shorter tapered thread, internal rebound spring and partially contracted piston rod)

Are the M3 strut mounts worth pursuing? Open to other suggestions in a similar ballpark.

Front spring failures are not that common, especially in a FL climate.

According to ECS, the M3 B4's are about $50 more than the non-M B4's and you'll need springs if you go that route which increases the cost.

My two cents would be to stick to the hardware that was intended for the non-M. While you're at it, investing in factory reinforcement plates is highly recommended.

Note: If you plan on using reinforcement plates and want to keep the option open for a strut tower brace, go with the Lemforder strut mounts as they have longer threads which can accommodate both.
