Facelift Coupe Adaptive Headlight Broken?

Hey Guys,

I recently picked up a 2006 330ci.

Anyway, the passenger bulb went out so I went to change it. However, I noticed the hack job the previous owner did.

The entire projector is loose. It just bounces around in the housing.
I know that the previous 320 sedan I had, I could open the headlight no problem. Is there any chance of me fixing this without baking open the lens?

I assume the projector mount cracked or something along those lines, and I really don't want to buy a new one as these are the white blinker, adaptive, xenon housings..

You bought the car without touching anything? Or sight unseen? Tough luck bec the coupe isnt like the sedans, will have to heat it to open it.

Thanks for the super helpful response.

Anyway, opened it up and turns out the mount that holds the projector in place was broken into a bunch of pieces.
After a lot of fun with plastic weld 2 part epoxy I was able to glue to all back together.
Very happy that I didn't have to spend the money on a new headlight.
