E46 Topmount Tubular Turbo Manifold - Page 2

Just got a couple turbos in that I will be test fitting. I should have the turbo placed and hopefully some runners mocked up this weekend. The turbo that will be used is a twin scroll 6266 T4.

This is gonna be good.
Saw a S2k done by Rameybuilt with a top mount.
Those have a lot of room.

Would you have more room on the driver side of the engine opposite to where you placed it now. Since it leans to the exhaust. Side. Maybe route the plumbing to that side rather than below?

It's possible, I really want to focus on getting this topmount setup done though. I think it will work very well this way

Cool! I'll keep checking back for updates, while I'd love to do a top mount set up as badass as it looks, I personally prefer to keep the engine bay as "stock" looking as possible!

I'm not into re-located stuff and using aftermarket EMS unless it's absolutely necessary! My goal is 500whp on straight pump, race gas tune for the times I wanna get serious/track! Built motor later on if I keep the car + more boost!

djtrini: Understandable! The "sleeper look" is always nice. I'll be sure to update all of my progress, again i'm planning to make some moves through the weekend.

Thanks for the support Kirk!! I attempted to fit the turbo this weekend but realized the twin scroll exhaust housing was just a bit too big to fit where I wanted. I will have to redo the coolant line to the expansion tank later this week. I should have the turbo mounted this week to start on the manifold.

Fit a PT67 lastnight in the bay and started figuring out what else was getting reworked for the T4 Twinscroll. Looks nice in position, I have merge collector measurements now so i'll be making some cuts to get the collector hung next.

Some GT42R frame potential with positioning locked down....
