Does the 2005 330CI ZHP have aux input?

I'm looking to add an ipod adapter to my car. At first I've read that DICE DUO could work but then I read somewhere that there might be a aux input in my car. What's the best option?

You can buy an OEM AUX cable which connects to the back of the Alpine factory head unit. The cable will only put through the stereo whatever source you feed it. It won't charge the device or give you complete control from the vehicle. I recommend you purchase a USA SPEC integration kit for your car. Ebay sells them at around $130

I thought the aux would be cheaper than Dice, but i guess theyre around the same. Do you know which is better quality?

I would avoid the dice due to its complexity and terribly user friendly OS. The Aux is around 50 bucks, but for the extra 100, why not have a unit that charges your ipod and lets you also control it from the stereo?

?Seems like I was misled by dice. The USA SPEC seems decent, is it simple to DIY to install?

Yes the 2005 has Aux input (all Business CD from model year 2003) and if you only want just Aux input then you want BMW P/N 82110149389 or 82110149391 if you have factory Nav. This will not give you control over the iPhone/iPod like the DICE unit will, but, for $33.17 plus shipping at ECS Tuning it's a lot cheaper and it's factory BMW so it will fit. The BMW Aux-In cable gives you a female 3.5mm stereo headphone plug which you can mount in the side of the glove box or at the bottom of the ash tray. It does not require power and will be less likely to cause whinning/engine noise.

I don't really care much for all the extra features. All I want is to play music with good quality and at least be able to choose the song from my ipod/phone or radio/steering wheel. Will just an Aux input be enough?

Yes, minus the being to choose the song via the radio/steering wheel. Volume will work, but, the BMW Aux cable is just audio in. No controls are sent to the iPhone/iPod via this cable. You must use the iPhone/iPod itself to change songs.

So I can either get the most simple aux input which runs around 30-50. Or spend 130+ for a Dice system or an aux input that lets me use the steering wheel and radio to rune. Which is the best option?
