If you feel Australia is better than the US, move there. I don't see a wave of immigrants flocking to Australia.

As for safety nets, when you get a clue, then come back and post. Do some research on why minimum wage was created. Also, go back and read my 5 previous posts. As an employer of 400 people, explain to me how you think passing a $10 an hour minimum wage law would help my workers.

You're not an employer of 400 people, I doubt you could even run a lemonade stand. Unlike you and the rest of the rats that come from your country, I was born here, and vote based on what I see works regardless of what country implements it. I'm not arrogant enough to think we do things the right way all the time.

Why don't you point out places in the world where no "minimum wage" valuing wage at "competitive" market prices for their labor?

I might be a rat from another country, but I grew the company I work for from a 20 person restaurant to a 4000+ employee restaurant empire. I run 1/4 of the company, and hundreds of people have a job because of me. What do you do for the Americans you seem to care so much about? I bet you don't do d!ck, and chances are, you probably work for a "rat."

So you admit that the US, under the Obama administration and its socialist policies, is the greatest country on Earth.

I've never said otherwise. I have always said that it is STILL the best place on earth to be, despite the backward politics. However, unfortunately, it won't stay that way forever. If we continue down the path of other nations, we will be no better, and most likely, much worse.

Of course we have "been down this path" since FDR. And yet the country has seen great economic booms and busts. People have prospered and starved.

It isn't path, it is, as democracy has always been since the ancient Greeks, a process.

We don't have a democracy.

I do, and unfortunately we had to cut back on employees when they increased minimum wage.

And since you want to be pedantic AofG.
Technically speaking the US is not a true republic. Since only 2/3rds of the branches of govt rest with the peoples representatives and only 51% of 1/3rd of the states are needed to reject a bid overturn a USSC decision on the constitution. If the US was a true republic, that would not be the case. The US is a modified republic.

Five, you would have to go back to Taft, who started corporate income tax. (And he was a republican )
