Depends on your state I'm in ohio and i own a Mobil detailing business and I have a LLC. In Ohio it's a 1 time flat fee of 150.00 and it's basically to cover yourself. What questions do you have ? I may be able to help

There are threads on this.

Generally, LLCs are easier to deal with, more flexible, less paperwork, and generally a tad less respected vs inc when dealing with old schoolers.

What are your questions? If you set one up, I'm guessing you know the basics.

You don't have to deal with double taxation with LLC vs C Corp, but still gain separation of business to personal liability. That's definitely one benefit.

Go to your state website. There should be info on there about starting a LLC. I know the http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/...=98277,00.html has lots of info.
