CSL bumper upgrade on 330ci...
Besides eliminating the fog lights is this a direct fit? I want this on my 2004 330ci really bad!! It's between CSL or M tech ll. Any suggestions? Best place to buy?

MTech II on facelift is the best looking bumper unless you can really pull off an M3 or CSL. But, like i said, MTech II will look best
Check out the new Mtech II bumpers i just got on my '04 330...

I love the CSL bumper, and there are plenty of places that offer them in a Non M3 fitment, which means they are designed to fit regular e46 coupes or sedans. I think it just looks tough as Hell. Unless your car is painted pink or something, you can pull it off. Black looks tougher, but it works with almost all factory colors. But, you would need to be somewhat lowered, with non factory wheels to really get the full bad ass look.
The CSL bumper is really the only body mod I have ever considered. Everyone and his brother has the M-Tech II. It is part of the "e46Fanatics Standard Issue Approved Modifications", along with CSL Reps and M3 mirrors, because "It is OK to be an individual, as long as your individuality matches everyone else's individuality". Using anything else will only draw ridicule and criticism. You think I am kidding about that? I bet you get 10 M-Tech II reccomendations for every 1 CSL vote. In the end, buy what the Hell you want, and fvck the critique crowd, because it is your car, and your money. |

I ended up going with the CSL V1 that is fitted for a 330ci. I just agree with MJ that the mtech's are sort of a dime a dozen and I think that the CSL is bad ass

The CSL looks nice, but it doesn't "flow" correctly with a Facelift e46 for some reason. Something looks "off" for the facelifts. On a pre-facelift....different story!!!
I agree and respect being different for sure. All i am saying is that the M3/CSL will look awkward on a facelift e46 in most cases. I am definitely in for pics to prove this wrong though! It usually goes..... Facelift = MTech II Pre-Facelift = M3/CSL

Yeah I'm kinda worried about that but I've seen plenty of 330's pull it off with the right accents. And I'll definitely post some pictures once its all painted and fitted. I also usually do something cool with leds so maybe I'll post that too

Are you doing anything with the back bumper as well? If not, MTech II front for sure. I went with both MTech II front and rear bumpers at the same time cause its cheaper for painting................and OCD.

So too me, his car has a set up that flows well with the CSL. If it was stock everything else...not so much. Not sure what your car looks like. If you post a perfect front end pic of your car someone might PhotoShop the CSL on for you. Thats what i did for my MTech II before pulling the trigger on the full kit

Hmm such a tough choice. I think the M-techII looks more aggressive, but I like the look of the CSL too!
Can't go wrong with this. also wouldn't mind knowing the wheel size/offset ![]() Last edited by Mulrich07; 10-07-2012 at 03:36 PM. |

Either you are mocking BMW for adding things for no reason, or the air intake is down there in CSLs.
