Very nice and you'll definitely need 3 days for that.

The road between Mt Beauty and Bright is awesome. When I go up to Hotham I often do a side run over the hill to Mt Beauty and back again just to enjoy that piece of road. It's twisty heaven! Be careful of rock falls on the Alpine Way past Tom Groggin to Khancoban

Also you should detour through Kangaroo Valley once you get to Nowra. That road is lots of fun and far more interesting than just continuing up the highway.

Know the road very well, I just figured being the end of the trip I'd be knackered. I'm now considering going the other direction coming down coast first and heading up omeo to bright to Kosciuszko. I've read that you get more uphill going south to north... dunno

Hmmm....I find uphill less taxing/challenging and I also reckon the drive up to Hotham from Harrietvielle is far more engaging than the other way around.

Interesting thought though. But...you can't miss Nowra to Kangaroo Valley either way.
