I don't really have time to come down to you, but I can at least setup the software remotely

Re: MS42 < MS43 Compatibility Thread...

Made some discoveries today with the help of Terra. DME and EWS aren't matched and came from two different cars. A 330 DME and a 325 EWS, keys, ignition barrel, and antenna ring. Those are all matched...

I will call bavarian motorhaus and raise hell about this.

After I suggested you check the EWS codes, you responded with this:

Ews and Dme are synched from the factory. They came as a pair. As to why it's not firing I imagine that it has to do with my lack of gas pedal connected.
So much for the matching electronics

Re: MS42 < MS43 Compatibility Thread...

:rofl That was what I thought I had purchased. I saw no reason to suspect they would not be synched.

Any thoughts on the fix if Bavarian Motorhaus doesn't come through with the correct DME?

Thanks for chiming in Haken.

Re: MS42 < MS43 Compatibility Thread...

Got a pm from them. No e46s in stock. But they are willing to exchange the parts. So that's good...but I don't know how much longer I can wait.

Sent from my SCH-I535 using BimmerApp mobile app

Do they have an x5 3.0 by any chance?

I think e39 might work too, but it has a different style key (lock cylinder has a different part number too)

Re: MS42 < MS43 Compatibility Thread...

He says they're looking to get one next week. I have replied to several part out threads requesting the selected parts but have received no response so far.

Re: MS42 < MS43 Compatibility Thread...

If you were to do it remotely would that be something of interest?

Would the alarm still work with out the EWS?

It can't be done remotely. Ecu won't need rolling codes to unlock injection, it has nothing to do with rest of the car at all.

So how would you go about deleting it? I think this should be public knowledge.

By reprogramming it. I rather not go public with it, I provide quality service that is worth every penny.

I think I know how to virginize it, which would be good enough for your purposes, but I don't actually have a programmer.

I'm sure it is, but you sound like a douche to be honest.
