So should i be concerned? What else should i do to see if their fine or not?

just received a set of GC street coils. Found this when opening the box

compressed both of them all the way down

the one on the left is a bit oily and makes a faint "farting" noise while decompressing, they both do come up at almost a identical rate.

thanks in advance.

I would say that it was damaged during shipping and you should not use it.

The bump stops are so dirty. They look used.

Yikes! Send them back. Even if you get another set, who knows what's gonna happen when you put the weight of the car on them.

That's what I assumed they were. OP said GC and if you research them I think that's what will come up. I had a customer of mine who is a younger kid that I sold an E36 vert to that I remembered him putting these on the car and he had nothing but problems. He actually came back to my store after he had installed and drove a couple thousand miles with them on and tried to blame other issues with the car on me. When he bought it the car was a serviced up bone stock e36 vert in great shape with only 68k on it and a couple months later when he showed up with issues the car looked like it belonged in south central LA. Needless to say he was in the wrong and brought on his issues by installing cheap aftermarket crap and driving the car like he stole it.

I don't know squat about the parts, but your shop looks nice.
