I have no problem with the original thread started by the op, but this is trending towards the "I'm driving my parents car and pretending I own it" contingent that is universally mocked.

I'm 17, currently driving a 2000 323ci with 142k. Paid 7k for it in cash last September. Ive worked in a mechanic shop on the local navy base since I was 14. Started with a 1990 jeep wrangler that I bought for $800 with a blown motor and over the course of working in the shop did a full 350 crate conversion by myself and sold it a year later for 6k. From that flip and working two years there had the money for the e46 along with all the insurance and maintenance bills with it. Due to working in the shop an having both my parents as engineers, I'm a full on DIY kind of person with plenty of knowledge on how to keep up with my own car. I love this forum and all the d!ckheads that come with it. That's my story.

I can. He spent the year between 8th and 9th grade in a juvenile detention facility. On the plus side, he had his drivers license in junior high.

Yuppp. Insurance is pretty cheap for me though, but i still have high insurance compared to other cars.

Wow...your cool. I dont understand why people hate on us. Most of us are responsible and probably maintain our cars more/better than some adults. I am responsible and have never really abused my car by racing. I love my car and i have it cause i paid for every cent of it.
