Clear Corners and Smoked Side?

Would it be a bad idea to mix clear corner lights with smoked/dark side markers? I have a steel blue 2005 330i. Has anyone done this or is it just a bad idea?

I think for a facelift sedan it would look fine... Honestly I like good ole Amber on sedans, but TEHO

I think smoked corners and clear sides would look better.

Depends on the color of the car. Mine is black, and I have lightly smoked sides, because clear (with white housing) was an eyesore to me. That's not the case (I suppose) on a white or silver car. On the other hand, clear corners define the front end in such a way, that it makes the car "meaner". Smoked corners "rounds" it in my eyes, and with non-MtechII front bumper, it really makes my black car "rounded" in the front. That's why I have smoked sides and OEM clears in the front and OEM clear/red tails at the back ATM.

Normally I would say that it doesn't matter, but I see that your car is steel blue. I'd definitely stick with clear all around -- no amber or smoked.

OP, whatever you decide, please post pics! I'm in the same boat with the steel blue. I can't decide on tails, corners, and markers. I'm leaning smoked though. I've got a whole blue/black thing going with grill, tint, side mirrors, etc. and I think the clears just might stick out too much. Thanks!

I have an Oxford Green facelift... started with smoked corners and sides... switched to clear corners. Looks better in my opinion. The smoked corners were too dark and the contrast between them and the actual headlights lens looked funny. But I have a pretty dark car. may look different on yours.

this is a little offtopic but does anyone know where i can purchase clear sidemarkers that flash white on a facelifted coupe? I bought a pair and worked great for years. now one side is out and i can't find anyone that has it. Still looking around for my old receipt to see if i can go back to the same company

I started off with smoked all around on my facelift sedan but I got sick of the smoked corners and just bought clears. Right now I don't really care that it's mismatched. It doesn't look too bad but eventually I'm probably going to end up buying clears all around

What size tires you have? They don't look like they are meant for your car.

That's because he didn't change them when they came off the M3. He's running all fronts too.
