What does this dummy light mean?
Red lights towards the rear of the car. My brake lights and reverse lights work fine from what I can see... Hmmm. Any help?

Could be the problem that has plagued some E46's where the tail lights are not properly grounding, causing the tail light out error.

I have not changed any bulbs or changed a thing. The light just came on and will not go off. All bulbs are 100% functioning. I do have a set of Angel Eyes LED tail lights that were installed over a year ago. I am thinking there may be a faulty circuit in one or both of them, possibly. I guess I will have to order a new set and go from there. Any suggestions for hot new style tail lights?

It either you license plate lights or you have the bad grounding in you rear tails. both are easy fixes.

It means your lights are dimmer than they should be. Take off the whole thing off from the trunk side and touch the wires. You will see the lights get brighter and the cluster light will go out.

Check to see if the lights by the license plate are on, that's what happened to me.

Maybe you should get out of the car and check your taillights. OR open the manual. OR use the search bar. OR make me a sandwhich
