Lets talk gauges
Curious to know what gauges you all use. And if you guys use digital or mechanical?. Looking to FINALLY put a boost and AFR gauge in my car.
(trippinbimmer) got me thinking

Analog needle gauges have always been easier on the eyes to get a focus on what's going on. But you digital is just so much nicer and accurate(as long as you have good gauges).
My current setup is an AEM in a driver side vent with meth indicator light. Very stealth. I find it easier to glance at my vent than it did my mirror otherwise I would have went that route. I am currently working on a new one that should be done in the next few days which consists of a AFR and boost/vacuum gauge, along with a meth indicator light. This new one will still retain full factory adjustable vents unlike my current one. Current ![]() ![]() Work in Progress ![]() ![]()

those are some pretty sweet gauge setups. I love the stealthy look. The whole reason I haven't gotten any gauges is because I don't want it to look rice*r and retarded with some stupid blue LEDs or something lol. What brand of gauges if I were to get digital would yall recommend?.

Nope! One of the mods I am most pleased with on my car, they work great, stand out just enough to see without being distracting at all, and unless I point them out, they wouldn't be noticed by the wrong sort.
Well, WELL worth the price imo, if I ever have another car with gauges, I will be doing the same thing. They also match the stock colors of the gauges very well!

Took middle AC vents out and had a custom Carbon Fiber faceplate made to house my AEM Digital Gauges...

A lot of nice gauge setups. I wouldn't want to delete my air vents though. The one Tchleung posted is really nice and stealthy.

There is also this new gauge from AEM. Center screen is now an OLED. You can also change the faceplate around so you can have boost on the outer ring and AFR in the center or the other way around or just have a pure AFR or boost gauge. Also has data logging with an RPM input plus a failsafe. Read up on it.

The pillar air bags can make that... problematic in an M3.

My shop custom made it for me. Originally I had 2 gauges on the steering column cover and 2 gauges in the vent closest to the window, but I wanted them all together so I took out the middle vents.
