My Ride: 2002 BMW 320 D
Engine Management Warning lights intermittedly on

Hi,

I have a 2002 320 D which I have owned for just over a year. The airbag warning light was always on. I didn't think much of it. However, in the past 2 months the warnng light is on saying the front headlight is not working. To inform me my indicator flashes double the speed but the lights on the car are fine. Then, as if by magic, the problem disppears only to reappear the next journey or during one. The airbag light also does the same. The double speed of the indicator is really starting to annoy me. Someone checked the connections and they were all clean. Any suggestions?

A few days ago I also noticed that the dash lights took a few seconds to full illuminate. This has only happened once but could be indicative of a growing electrical problem....

Thanks,

Nathan

you're gonna a lot responses saying to scan the car with a bmw based software. the air bag light is most likely the belt tensioner or the occupancy sensor.

I thought some sort off scan might be needed. Looks pretty bog standard. Should a BMW specialised have this bit of kit or can I buy it?

Thanks,

Nathan
