I was held up when I worked for our store as a teenager. Was working the drive thru and the guy came and pointed gun in my face while I was in the middle of taking someones order.

Guy only hit the registers, and then took off. Will never forget that gun he had in my face, though. I was in such shock I called my dad before calling the cops. He told me to hang up and call 911, lol.

They actually caught a guy nearby that they thought might be him, and asked me to identify him in the parking lot. They pulled him out, and had the headlights shining in his eyes so he couldn't see me.

B/C he had a mask on during the robbery, I was not confident enough to say it was him.

Our policy (my dad's) has always been full cooperation. Money is replaceable, lives are not.

I'd recommend attempting to get in touch with the owners (if that 800 doesn't already) and file your complaint directly with them. Calling and asking to speak with a manager may be the best bet to getting in touch with owners.

Personallly, we've got a seperate line and VM set up specifically for that (listed on our receipts). Depending upon what happened, they'll be able to access the footage during time of your complaint and can handle the situation as needed.

Contacting the owners directly is the more kind approach, as contacting the 800 number gives that store/owners a negative 'ding' within corporate.

if it's not a franchised store and owned by McDonalds, then I'd suggest calling the 800 number.

hehe i was trying to trick him. usually our one box numbers are posted on the receipts so you think your calling corporate 800 but its really oo setup . you can only find the corporate 800 number on cups or bags or fry boxes.

real corporate 800 complaints do go like said previously on the owners matrix and docks us points. we should have about 1 complaint for every 10,000 customers or something that call that number

Wait a second, we're still talking about people working at a fast food restaurant, right? Next you'll be telling me strippers have souls.

Is asking for iced, black coffee a special order? I was in a pinch and went through to a drive thru this morning for some iced coffee, and I like just straight black coffee. The lady taking the order, the person who took my $2.04 and the person who gave me the iced, black coffee were incredibly confused as to me not wanting cream, sugar or the flavor shite that people contaminate their coffee with.

I think they would have been more compliant/less confused if I had ordered a Big Mac with soft serve ice cream on it instead of thousand island.

next time ask for a regular flavored iced coffee with no liquid sugar or cream and that should take care of any confusions.

ps thats mcdonalds words so they will understand 100% what you want

Regular flavored? Black coffee is about as basic as you get, lol. I was prepared for them to tell me they don't do iced black coffee, and I was going to ask for a hot black coffee with a cup of ice.

when the restaurant is closed and you're just fcuking around, what kinds of stuff have you made with the food? I think a chicken mcnugget sandwich with special sauce would be good.

I've put nuggets in place of the patties on a big mac before. It was amazing.

Call me a nit picker, but isn't there an inherent trade off here? On average, the people working and eating (regularly) at any fast food restaurant are more likely to end up as a drag on society. I completely agree that many good people work there, but the odds are not tilted in that direction.

was your original question / comment not in regards to the robbery policy (risking your life is not worth the few hundred bucks they'll get?).

sorry if I'm not following - but if that's the case, then no, there's not a trade off b/t an employees life, no matter it's worth to you, and money.

get off your pedestal.

I used to make myself sick with ridiculous ice cream concotions. Would take every topping and sauce and put it into a flurry. it sounded so good when I would make it, but then i'd get a few bites in and get grossed out.

Not all that crazy, but I really liked making bbq, bacon, and cheese double quarter pounders. So delicious. Doubt I could all eat that nowadays.

But I haven't been involved enough in the behind the scenes stuff over the yeras to give you an in-depth answer, sorry Griff.

One thing you could argue is that expansion has reduced quality overall. I know this was an issue 5 - 10 years ago, when they were opening new stores like crazy - they've since toned it down to focus on consistency / quality.
