Yep I used the kit links as well. The driver side link fought me a bit as it appeared to short but I managed to get it on there and it is working fine, no noises or issues.

I ended up jacking up the assembly slightly, to line up the links when I was putting them on. I bolted the bottom on, then jacked it up slowly until the top slid in place.

I used the impala ones to keep my bar eyelet at 0 degrees, they are about an inch shorter and way beefier (1/4" vs 1/2"). If your not going all the way down then yes its not really needed. Set your car on the ground and take a look at the angle of your bar to see what I mean. The eyelet part of the bar should be as parallel as possible to ensure zero chance of binding on full compression and rebound. Everyones car will be different as we all ride at different heights so it would be impossible to have a non-adjustable link to be a perfect fit on an adjustable coilover. Will it really matter on a street car? Meh, not really, just what I chose to do. Your car, your choice, happy modding guys.

Which impala endlinks did you use?
I dont see anything that is bad on my suspension and still having creaks and clunks. Only thing I can suspect is the endlinks. I would like to try the impala endlinks and see if it solves the issue.
I think that'd be the cheapest in hit and trial method.
New FCABs, New FSMs, all new bolts, no play in ball joints, nothing play on sway bar bushings. I dont know where the creak is coming from anymore.

I am almost all the way low on these coils at front and almost all the way high on the rear.
I not a fan of the raked look, but these coils lower the rear a lot more than I expected and car looked like it was squatting.

I believe its for a 2007 Impala rear endlink.

Thanks guys, I think I will install the ones that come with the kit. I'm only planning to go low for car shows, daily duty will be lowered just a bit.

Hey old fren, the kit will lower the car pretty good but not SO low to the ground.
Hopefully I can find what the hell is making noise on the driver's side, otherwise I am quite satisfied.

You mean, Impala rear end links for the fronts on e46 with Street edge coil overs?
Just want to make sure before I go and buy them.
Will check everything this weekend. Damn it has been a weekend chore for me to raise the car, remove the wheels and check everything.

What noise are you experiencing in the front?

Hi Kris,

I've read all of this thread and am very close to ordering but just want to know if it will improve handling for autocross? I just started and have stock suspension on my 2000 323i. Anything will be stiffer, but are the Street Edge capable of holding up and an improvement for autocross?

Thanks.

Kris, we had been communicating via PMs and as per your recommendation I changed the FSMs, but still I am getting the noise.

This is the noise I get when turning the steering wheels and I feel a definite clunk in the drivers side going over the inconsistencies on the road like speed bumps or pot holes.
Checked and re-checked everything many times.
I will try to check it again tomorrow and send you the measurements and part numbers on the springs and perches on the rear. I do have the height issue.

Just to toss up one of my more recent pics (I'm on 17s btw, which is why they don't look as low as some others, and it's only a week old, might be more settling to be had? Fronts are all the way down, rears have about an inch left to go).
