My Ride: 2004 325i -black
CEL: P2099 - Require Help/Advice

My check engine light popped up a day after I attended a track day (not sure if that is relevant) showing two fault codes for P2099 - which stands for 'Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Rich Bank 2'.

Now, I had the same code pop up last year once, however after erasing it, it never returned (until now). After trying to clear it twice this time, it re-appeared. It is also important to note that the code disappeared on its own one morning (right before replacing my O2 sensors) only to re-appear shortly after.

I have replaced both bank 2, O2 sensors (OEM replacement) and reset the adaption values, yet the code is still showing up after being cleared (takes roughly ~20km of driving for it to re-appear). The car is a 2004 325i with 100,000km (60,000 miles). In addition, my car is running the latest software. What's more is that I passed an e-test last year with flying colours.

Only relevant mods are a Gruppe M replica intake and a BMW Performance Exhaust. I also recently had Inspection II performed.

It is also worth mentioning that the car runs perfectly fine, the same as before my CEL came on. Only issue I have noticed is that after I changed my O2 sensors my gas milage has increased by a little bit, but perhaps my car is still adjusting.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, especially considering the fact that my search online has yielded virtually no results! Seems like no one else (even amongst other car makes/models) has encountered such a code .
