1996 M3: Garage Queen: Low Miles: Superchared
The time has come for me to sell my garage queen 1996 M3 which currently has 99,920 miles. It is a luxury package with the mulberry interior. This car has been adult owned and babied its entire life and the condition of it reflects that. I bought this car from a 40 year old BMW enthusiast who had about 11 collector BMWs including mine. I've had the car since January 1st, 2012 and I've spent a lot of time on it. Unfortunately, my family is going through financial hardships and keeping this car is not a priority.
When I was in the market for an E36 M3, I was looking for one with all original paint, no dings and dents, no torn seats, or worn out bushings. Once I drove the car I knew I had scored. None of the bushings are cracked; The ride is very smooth and solid; The interior is in excellent condition; It has all original paint and everything is in perfect working order. It has NEVER been in an accident. I have taken extreme car of this car, from telling everyone to watch out for the seat bolsters when they sit in the car to not letting anyone drive it but me. I have a binder full of paperwork for this car from the day it left the dealership, but I'll post the major ones on here. -An RMS Stage II Supercharger, high performance clutch and flywheel, and RMS Short Shifter kit were all installed at 82,xxx miles. The clutch feels brand new and the shifting is extremely short, crisp, and smooth. -The car has a professionally upgraded audio system with professional wiring; A separate Alpine amplifier for the highs and mids and a separate JL 500/1 amplifier for the 12 inch JL W6 subwoofer. The audio system on this car sounds amazing and all the settings are adjustable on the pioneer head unit which also has GPS Navigation. The head unit does close up, for those of you who don't like a huge flip-up head unit in your 90's sports car. -AEM UEGO Air Fuel Ratio gauge -AEM Boost/Vacuum gauge -Autometer water temperature gauge -UUC TSE exhaust -803 Porsche MAF -TRM Oil Catch Can -The first week I got the car, I did a complete cooling system overhaul. (80C Thermostat, Aluminum Thermostat housing, upper and lower radiator hoses, Stewart High Performance Water Pump, Fan clutch, and fan blades). Due to improperly bleeding the cooling system, the cooling system over pressurized and the head gasket blew. At 96,900 miles, the car's head gasket was replaced along with a nicely re-done head. Now the car runs anywhere from 180-195F on a hot day with AC on. (Pictures of re-surfaced head shown below) -Since I had the car, I have also replaced many worn out hoses on the car. I replaced all the power steering lines and changed the fluid. -Redline Transmission fluid -New Drive belt, AC Belt, and Blower belt. -NGK R5671A-7 spark plugs -Crankshaft position sensor -At 97,500 miles, I noticed oil leaking from the blower so I sent it out to Vortech Engineering and had the blower fully rebuilt. While I had the blower out, I replaced the oil feed and return lines with stainless steel hoses. -The only thing I can think of that this car needs is a nice tune by TRM so the car will pull at its full potential. TRM has been very helpful and given me a lot of advice on this car. I would also like to say thank you to the FI Forum for all their advice and a special thanks to Matutino and Darrenforeal. Contact Information: Art (424) 222-0116 (818) 799-7075 -I am asking $11,900 O.B.O. Please feel free to call or text at anytime if you are interested and would like to make an offer, or come see the car. I work a graveyard shift so I am pretty much awake 24 hours a day. I am willing to ship at buyer's expense. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by OpinionatedPrick; 08-05-2012 at 11:37 PM. |
