Sensor in front right fender liner?

For some reason I've been very unlucky pinpointing the name and purpose of this sensor

I know the outside temperature sensor is on the left but what is this?

It's not an airbag sensor because all of that is contained directly within the module itself...so I don't know. I've never noticed that before.

Passenger side sensor is a thermal switch for the heated windshield washer fluid option. Looks like a little hockey puck. Driver side is ambient temperature sensor.
