My Ride: 2001 bmw 330ci
Need help on a few problems! :(

Hey guys, so I have a couple of things I need a little help on with my 2001 330ci auto. My car has around 151,000 miles on it. I'd appreciate any help or advice you guys have. Thanks in advance

1. My dash/cluster has been acting up lately. I've noticed that at times my turn signals don't turn on when I activate them but they do flash from the outside. The display on the dash is stuck on the Temperature setting and doesn't let me scroll through the other ones. My radio control buttons on my steering wheel also don't seem to work all the time. The time they do work is whenever I'm driving and I go over a bump or something to make the car shake a bit that they'll start to work but only to break down again a bit later. I've checked the battery connections to make sure they're tight and to make sure the battery is also in place.

2. Whenever I change from P to D or R on my gears I noticed that my rpms drop quite a bit to where it almost stalls the car. The car has only stalled on me once while changing from R to D.
3. So I had SES codes p0492/1. Changed the hose that goes to the pump. Codes went away after a day. So then I drove to Sacramento(400 mile trip) and when I got there I noticed that 2 new codes popped up P0171/4 so I erased those too without fixing anything just to see of they popped up again. Once I got back home after another 400 mile trip I scanned the car again and no codes were there so I decided to drive the car more and after a week later and 1000 miles on the car no codes have popped up. Do codes just disappear like that? Or how long till they come back on?
Sorry if I'm all over the place with this.

Was there any mods or repairs done to your steering wheel or electrical system? I would first check all my fuses make sure everything is intact and in thier right place...i wonder if it could be damaged wiring in the turn signal lever...or a bad connection along the steering wheel column since things sometime work when bumped.

There is alot of info on this site for idle and code problems...use some key words in the search...also here is a thread to start with it has a ton of information http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=897616

Would a bad connection on the steering wheel column also make the small screen that shows the temperature light up or dim when I hit a bump?
