The Official "Stand Up Comedy" Thread. [NWS]

I wanted to create a thread where we could share some videos of our favorite comics, or maybe just post a bit, or one-liner that you have heard, or perhaps even thought of. I find it easy to get a "read" on people based on their humor.

So let's see what you all find funny.
If you post a video, type the Comics name in the post, so I don't inadvertently watch a carrot top video

Here are four of my favorites:

Mitch Hedberg

Doug Stanhope

Bill Hicks

When George gets up the Gotham show, you'll see me reaching a bit...unfortunately with about 30 80 year old people who just weren't getting the virtues of beastiality as a means to reducing our teenaged pregnancy epidemic in this country. An idea a little before its time...at least in this country!

A very interesting read about heckling...

Mitch, Louis, and Carlin already posted.

If you get the chance, go see him live. Both times I've seen him people have walked out

Also hilarious live, Rhys Darby from Flight of the Concords...

Also saw Steve-O which was more of a retelling of old stories. He stayed after the show to make sure every last person got a picture/autograph. Really humble and appreciative guy.

Broken Lizard was alright. They came out as the Super Troopers which was the best part.

Nice guys, and thanks Doug, and to everyone who posted, I'm going to check these out in a bit. I have been waiting to see the Gotham Set, and kept forgetting to search it on youtube.

Keep them coming

Why do I have this feeling that if I saw this movie that maybe I'd want to end my comedy career?

I have to say that it's not easy to do this. For I don't know how long for me, it'll be 5 mins. at a time. The guys above...the hardest part for them wasn't making the humor, it was getting up to that time...going through all the stuff you have to do to get that time. 5 mins. of mike time in NYC costs me 'begging for bringers' or paying money...plus travel time...so 4 hours round trip for 5 mins. Driving for me makes that around $50 unless I get lucky parking.

A friend offered me his place in Manhattan if I ever wanted it, so I'm thinking it might be cool to live there for a week and make the rounds to a number of places there...see where that gets me.

I'm ready for a long show...say like 24 hours...so covering that material in 5 min increments sucks!

Hmmm...that gives me an idea...a 24 hour show! Anyway, I'm still thinking of just sitting on the streets of NYC with a sign that says "Comedy $1."
