I honestly have to check the badge to make sure F30's I see on the street aren't 5 series.

Look at the E30 and compare to today.

I'm 6'3" and fit in a Miata with the top up just fine. I have no idea how anyone short of a giant would have problems fitting in an e46.

My friend who is 6'6 sat in both my coupe and sedan and said they were both comfortable for him. Only problem is that not much foot room is left behind the drivers seat.

A extra dick length is very noticable difference.
2.5 inch, not so much

I paid for the handling, the sportiness, basically the "ultimate driving machine"

Not the huge size, wood trim, etc that you find in a five or seven. I don't think you really got my point.

Are you satisfied with the way it drives? Would you consider it the "ultimate driving machine" as well?

Name any RWD sports sedan sold in NA that ISN'T a luxury car.

I bought mine for the same reason, though I did strongly consider a 5-series this time around because E39's are teh sechs.

dimension wise yes not so much bigger but the body is just humongous. E46's dont look so big cuz the wheel well flares.
