Gettin an oil change on the van. $25 including labor, lol, must be great quality oil.

But in 2000 miles, the van will hit 180,000, and I will spoil it with Total oil, Mann filters, NGK plugs, and Bosch plug wires. Maybe I will do distributor and rotor too while I'm at it.

Speaking of distributors and rotors, why were they never made with things like platinum and iridium for longer life like spark plugs?

Hmm, I wonder. Platinum lasts longer than copper, but with the rotor's large surface area, it probably doesn't matter as much as it does for a spark plug.

Might have evolved to that had full electronic ignition not been implemented.
