Second or third time now, boss went up to a machinist I was talking and asking questions to, and got mad at them. This time the boss didn't even want me standing around until they were done talking, and told me not to talk to this machinist anymore. I said I had some questions about the project I was working on and he said no. I was frustrated by this because not being able to ask that machinist questions prevents me from doing two things, doing(or at least hindering) my job, and also from learning, which is a big reason I'm there. Was the final straw for me this week because of how uncooperative things were going with the boss.

I waited until nobody else was around and asked my supervisor what company policy was on quitting. She was somewhat shocked by this, and pretty much explained I can quit at any time, but standard procedure is 2 weeks at other jobs. I gathered from her there pretty much wasn't a standard procedure here.

So I went back to work on the stuff I was working on, and asked supervisor a few questions, and she said go out and ask the machinists. I said I would if I could, but I don't think I'm allowed to right now. She immediately caught that and asked why and if related to me asking about quitting.

Serious, but informative and supportive convo informing me there was actually something up with that one employee and the boss, and it wasn't me. The other instances were just coincidences and were slightly different. Situation pretty much diffused at this point in my mind; felt much better. She was somewhat sympathetic and said she would try to mention that she has been telling me to go talk to the machinists to the boss, and clarify a few things with him. Then another coworker comes up, I think she might have heard the conversation, and has some friendly conversation with me, which was pretty nice. Then went back out in shop to get a definite answer on the project I've been working on, and get good answer from another machinist.

Then, right as I'm finishing up talking to this second machinist about my project, boss walks up again. I'm thinking in my head "oh fvck, you can't be serious, not this sht again!" but surprisingly, boss asks me what I needed to ask the first machinist about, I say and he confirms what I got from the second machinist, adds an additional bit of info, I say thanks, and I don't even think boss got mad at machinist I was talking to for a first.

Almost needless to say, today seemed like it went by much faster than normal, lol.
lol, that was interesting. I think you finally made a point.

I just found out you can remotely mount a radio faceplate! That means hiding radio and faceplate out of view!

The best ones can probably pull in 5k easily in a single night so flying from LA to Vegas every weekend is totally worth it.

Well, I can make you feel needed. I do that to Kalim all the time. I just sort of smile and pretend I'm interested.

And how much are you really challenging yourself? Chances are, your body's conditioned for that kind of strenuous activity. You need to step it up. Probably also due to your diet. You may have to stop eating small children.

She'll probably be more interested in if you can afford the car than what it is. If she actually cares about what kind of car, then I would be slightly aroused.

If she doesn't know what it is, then she wouldn't know if it's expensive. Which goes back to my original statement.

I think your boss would be more trusting of you if he got to know you a little bit better.

You should invite him over for dinner... drink some scotch, throw some steaks on the grill, and for dessert, smoke a blunt with him and your mom.

My workouts have been strenuous enough that it's noticeably affected my fitness, I sweat a lot, and I have to stretch afterwards. Lately I've also been mixing in some short sprints in the runs. I'm thinking that will probably build muscle if anything, but it's fun trying to go faster.

I think diet is probably it. Not enough access to food all the time because of work, so I'm eating larger amounts spaced further apart.

An MP4-12C looks plenty expensive at least.

Probably, but he's more than double my age, loud, and likes to play golf and basketball.

Do not want any of that.

Like good sechs, it's supposed to hurt afterwards, and the day after.

Any job that requires you to sit in front of a computer for any length of time is never good for any sort of healthy eating. But it IS doable.

True, but then she'll ask you what it is, then you have to tell her it's some obscure brand that is well-known in motorsport and has a very esteemed racing pedigree and is known for some amazing technology at which point she will smile and go "mmMMMMMMmmmmm" which is womanspeak for "How the hell do I GTFO of here?"
