Well it sounded like you were completely against the idea. Point is, it can be done. Though I personally wouldn't do it, I'm far too ham-fisted to resort to aggressive methods like that.

I'm going to say no to this, because pressure washers vary so much in power. Your alternator won't get damaged from water, and nor will the headlights, but almost all pressure washers can force water into bearing and connectors and rapidly increases corrosion. Get a stronger pressure washer, and you can literally cut coolant hoses with it.

Overall, not really worth it when a long bristled brush, degreaser, and a garden hose normally do better, quieter, and cheaper.

Also the BMW streams used for testing are very specific and are meant to simulate worst case conditions on the road. They aren't an washers of arbitrary designs working at arbitrary pressures.
