This is where Apple shines and where everybody else fails.
Apple make some beautiful products that are very intuitive and integrate well with eachother... BUT after having an iphone 2g and a 3gs, I wouldn't go back. It became increasingly frustrating that if I did not upgrade to the newest hardware every year I was forced to uprade the OS. I didn't want to upgrade the OS because it was always designed for the latest hardware and would significantly slow my phone down. If I held out on updating then I would have to deal with degrading usability. Features would just stop working like loading attachments in emails, gps, or other little things that made the phone less and less useable than it was prior to the "update." I'm normally not one that has to buy the latest and greatest every time something new comes out, but when I do buy electronics I like to purchase what I feel is the best and what will last until the next time I make an investment like that. I don't feel that the apple model of business will allow me to keep a phone for 2-3 years (if I chose to do so) and have it function at the same level it did when it was new (not counting battery degredation or bumps and bruises I may have caused).

I had the 2G, 3GS, and now 4S. I've never experienced anything that you've mentioned.

I find it ridiculous and laughable that phones would have a cult following. Utterly insane. The even funnier part is that these people spend more time duking it out than actually using the phones they defend so fiercely.

I'm the first to admit that Apple has its faults, but taking everything into consideration, I do believe that Apple products provide a better experience than anything else.

This is coming from somebody who grew up using Windows (still do on a daily basis). I think most die hard Windows/Android users are just virgins who refuse to try something new.

All I can say is that the iPhone is the new Porsche 911 when it comes to styling.

Why, did the new 911 get a little bit longer?

Naw, bought the house solo, pre-mtnwife. She is trying to trump my M5 plans with a 7 series though.

Now, that I think about it, the house and the cars were pretty much all my doing.

Android phones take a dump right away because there are so many Android phones on the market and new phones are constantly coming out.

Yes, wheelbase by 4 inches and overall length by 2.

Get a B7. If she disapproves, you can tell her "Well you said you wanted a 7-Series."

Apple did didn't force you to fail it into your hot tub like a dumdum.

Or just "Fail", "Next Failure", "Failure After Next".
