The same could be said to compare bmw to honda.

see how that works? If you are willing to spend more money because you know what you want there will be someone to cater to your needs.

The 3-Series and the 911 are both luxury cars, period. Honda is not a luxury brand, no matter how hard they try. The 911 really isn't offered in a more "practical" variant-that's what the Cayenne and Panamera are for (so then Porsche can make MORE limited editions of those!). You talk of personalization, but BMW will offer that (like Porsche) at a price (like Porsche). The 911, in the greater scheme of things, is already a fairly limited car to begin with, and Porsche themselves are well aware that much of their limited editions are done for marketing-they do it on their own accord, not at the request of the customer to make more limited editions.

I really want to post this, but it would pretty much guarantee a ban, possible permanent

You all need to chill the hell out and stop jumping my case, wait until it is fully released-anything that doesn't work correctly will be fixed by Apple ASAP.
How can you quote anything with tim cook's dick lodged in the back of your throat?

Not so much these limited editions, but there's a few "special editions" on top of the already confusing number of variants. Why? I like that I can customize the colour, wheels, and interior on a coupe or convertible, perhaps a slightly bigger engine, but with NA and turbo, 2- or 4-wheel drive, S or not, RS or not, GT2, 3, 4, 5...I'm not an automotive engineer, Porsche is supposed to figure this out for me, it should be the best it can be from the get-go, not something designed to fill a void in an imaginary market.

Goodness, that guy in the iPhone thread must have an Apple shrine in his boudoir or something. If we were discussing religion, he'd be burning people at the stake by now.

so, i'm kinda eff'd

Problem 1: Went to go get lunch, order my food, excited b/c this place looks awesome. Go to pull out my wallet, realized I left it in my other pants. Great... no lunch today. Oh well.

Problem 2: Get back in the car to go back to the office remember the gas light was on. It was when I left for work and wasn't an issue. I figured I'd fillup after work. No biggie right? Wrong, no wallet to pay for gas.

Problem 3: i happen to look down at the odometer and realize I went from getting 330-350miles per tank to now getting 280 after my last oil change
