Been to Montreal every year since 2003, except the year they had no race (three years ago). Also went to Indy twice but that was just so lame by comparison, track sucked, crowd sucked, nightlife sucked... hard to hold a candle to Montreal...

...but Austin should be sick. Given, will be taking son so not the3 usual insane debauchery with HS buddies, but will be great nonetheless. I'm going to be there for Sat and Sun, won't make practice Friday.

I'm not sure on seats. Waiting for my friend to send final details. Won't be in Loge Elite pits area this time as he will be working vs watching (based out of LA) but should be pretty good coming via team. When we haven't been in pits etc in Montreal we sit at the hairpin.

FTR, even when we sat above the pits and toured the paddock, didn't meet drivers. Saw them at some nighttime events, but they're not accessible. Maybe if you go to a signing event or something. We walked right by them which is cool, but, orders are not to bug them if you're in the pits.

Only actual VIPs on starting grid etc, can't buy tickets. We stoood next to Ice-T and Colin Farrell two years ago as guests of RBR and they got on the grid, but no one else but teams, families, celebs, former drivers...

F1 VIP = serious VIP.

You'll be pumped. High end areas are all about creature comforts like AC, food, open bar, etc.

If not above pits, best place is in the stands with a cooler and a good view of track and large screen to view rest of course.
