I like being in the south bay with south bay people. When I'm granted permission to take the Mini Cooper, I happily do so.

Makes me wonder why there are no fanatics in berkeley or oakland.

Both have more money to spend on a car than a typical E46 owner.

There are some pretty obvious BMW fanatics in my neighborhood though. Like the lady with the Z3 M coupe, the old coupe with the pair of E30 M3s, and then there is the guy that used to have an NB Miata and then exchanged it for a ZCP M3 and I think the same household also has a 335i and an X5.

I have yet to have one really enjoyable trip to either location. Or at least the enjoyable part (teh warehouse) was ruined by Berkeley being Berkeley.
