What's your shotgun budget, that's the deciding factor

Meh, I don't mind spending extra where it counts. I also don't mind buying used because I don't think there's really a whole lot to go wrong. I was originally looking for a used remington 1100 or beretta and was looking in the $500 range. Yesterday a friend recommended I just go straight to an O/U in which case maybe 1-1500 if it's worth it. I would like to keep ammo costs low because I want to shoot the hell out of this thing.

But a friend loaned me his mossberg 500. I've had that thing out there 3 times now shooing clays, and it has to be the most fun I've had in a while. Yesterday my friends were going as far as throwing two at a time and I was still doing pretty well. I want to get my own shotgun now and I'm thinking just going to an O/U. My cousin recommended going with a Browning Cynergy which seems like a great gun, but I'm new to all of this. Also, currently I'm shooting 12gauge. Do I want to stick with 12 or go to 20? 410?? Pretty much edumacate me if ya don't mind
You're a big man, you don't need to go down to a 20 gauge, and you won't hit much with a .410. I no longer bring my 410 out with me to shoot, just no point. One of the big things about buying a gun is fitment and how comfortable it is with you, after that then you can get into chokes/brands, etc. Go to a good gun store(not sports authority), and see if you can get fitted to a stock and see what is best. You might need a thicker butt on your stock, or you might need a thin one. I'm not sure your arm length so that is all tailored to you. There is also a big trend of what is fashionable. There aren't any true hard facts to which is better when you touch on barrel length when it comes to trap, so get what is comfortable with you, be it a short barrel or a long barrel. The barrel on my O/U is a 32" and I like it because I can swing it quickly vs. the range a longer barrel gives you.

Now, Browning. They make fantastic guns that are very reliable and are great to shoot. They are expensive. Looking up the cynergy, that is a $3,000(starting)+ gun depending on how custom/elaborate you want to make it. I personally would not start out with such an expensive gun, but as Daniel said, budget does make a difference. I can shoot my 900 dollar Remington just as well as my cousin with his $40,000US Purdey. I would recommend most guns from the major brands. I'm not a big fan of Mossberg, but that is because I'm a fan favourite of Remington. They shoot really well, and their 20 gauge semi-automatic guns are really good. I hope I touched on the question you asked me.

Not really the "deciding factor." Some of the cheaper guns are better for the application.

So...you want us to deliberately break our cars so we get to work on them? Also, I think my time is important; if it means paying someone who already has existing equipment and knowledge to do the work faster and more efficiently, I say it's money well spent.

I'm starting to notice a trend with 190E owners; they spend more time cooking up excuses than actually working on their car.

Wesley! Recommend me something soothing to listen to while I'm stuck in traffic. What would a 60 year-old Japanese man listen to on his Nakamichi tape deck?

The entire Stan Getz/Joao Gilberto duo album is an eargasm

People always want to push limits, haha. The trunk setup looks pretty good.
