so... i think there's a problem with the front turn signal socket
i have to push in the bulb and hold it to make it light up
i tried to lift the contact point up higher but doesn't seem to be working

so this is what happens when your "orange" bulb is really old
and the contact point is all melted

the bulb was out on the driver side ... i swapped the turn signal sockets for now since i need a visible LEFT turn signal in the front, not so much for the right
i put in new bulbs for both sides but original problem socket won't light up unless if i push the bulb in and hold it in with some pressure

Contact is corroded or bulb is coming apart. Try seeing if metal base of bulb moves relative to the glass. If not, probably just corrosion on contacts. Lightly scuff with sandpaper, steel wool, etc... just to clean the surface so it's shiny.

oh and... old car is old
my weather stripping on the turn signals mostly fell off and it was pretty tough to pop the turn signal out
i was worried about breaking the plastic tab when trying to push with the screwdriver
