I know a girl who has brittle bones and has had to take pain killers for most of her life; I'm sure falling hasn't gotten any more pleasant for her.

This is a far-fetched comparison, but imagine your car. Just because you crash it so often doesn't make it any more acceptable or any less severe. And as the car ages, it will get to the point where it will no longer be deemed salvageable.
Gain some weight skinny, then the fat will cushion the fall, and the additional weight will have zero effect on how hard you hit the ground.

Talk to a mountain biker or rugby player compared to a golf player or bowling player. I'm going to bet one side of that comparison is going to fall down a lot more than the other.

Also, your car comparison is confusing.

David Wade,

Your argument is invalid.

LOL, you keep insisting that people who continuously fall will somehow become more accustomed to it. Injury isn't the same thing as disease or drugs; your body doesn't grow more immune to it the more it encounters it. Your bet is silly, and thus, invalid.

Miles is once again on a quest to prove his manliness by showing that he has fallen more times than I have. All I have to do is bring Dave into this discussion to dispel his notions of being manly and rugged.

People do get accustomed to it; I have and so have my cycling friends. Scars are fun to brag about too. Maybe it's a MTB thing and not a roadie thing.

And dave will be like "I was rippin up some totally sick single track and then front wheel caught in a rut, and did a major endo. Got a massive cut that spurted blood and left a nasty scab with tons of hair and rocks in it."

Because dave's manliness > albee's manly'ish'ness

LOL, your elitism sucks. Using anecdotal evidence and LOTS of speculation. Not even a single JAMA article or anything. You can easily Google what I've been talking about regarding healing and aging and so forth. I'm not about to delve into this discussion any more since you're far more experienced with invalid arguments than I am. Moving on...

Would you like a walker with tennis balls on the legs to go with that old man rant?

You really can't dig up any article that supports your idea, can you?

I thought just saying you were wrong would suffice.
