been there
it costs the same as oo-kook and the meat quality at oo-kook is still much better at the $25/person

it's better than average
but you're paying the little tokyo premium at Manna

Give it another try
I used to go to the $10-15 ayce bbq all the time and put away ridiculous amounts of meat
But I can't do those anymore
I'd much rather spend $25 and get better quality meat
I can taste the difference
The real taste and quality test is to get the non-marinated meats first

I go a lot with a friend who likes all of the marinated stuff, but I prefer the non-marinated stuff. Brisket, ribeye, pork belly, sirloin, etc... that's all up my alley.

I enjoyed Manna more than Road to Seoul (my usual place). Road to Seoul is good, but the vents suck. It's impossible to walk out of the place without reeking.

been there a few times, once with frank on a recommendation it wasn't up to par. Just went last week and the meat quality was better but still not worth it to me. Better places in downtown to go to...but the atmosphere is chill and some cute girls work there now.

For KBBQ or in general? In general, yes, there are much better places in DTLA. For KBBQ, Manna is the only place that I've been to. All other KBBQ places that I go to are in Ktown.

I sort of loop koreatown and downtown together, they're the same distance to me at that point.
