hello everyone, i have owned my 323 for about 7 months now and i love it.
i purchased the car from a older couple that was a long time customer's at shop i work at.(specilize in Bmw and mini) for $2500 with 179k the car was in good condition and always fixed and had routine maintenace. Since then i have added zhp front bumper, matte black grills, poly control arm bushing, poly RTAB's, poly diff mount, short shifter and muffler delete. alond with maintenance. There is more im forgetting. but my problem is i just need somthing a little more than the 323, i constantly fear subframe damage( I autocross often) and the car was in a accident about 5 years ago and the drivers side pannels down match in color very well. Im looking into getting a new car but i am having trouble deciding on what. i working with a budget of about $13,000 and i would also look into getting a loan if i found somthing i really wanted but no higher than $20,000. I love my e46 but not to sure i want another, ive looked into e36 m3s but the interior is just junk! i just want a good drivers car that i still can DD and be comfortable in.

You can easily DD an e36 M3 and enjoy the performance and comfort as well. Your price range is pretty enough to be able to buy a perfect condition(in&out&miles) e36 M3. I would search very well and go for one. If not, like tock172 said, 330i ZHP would be a perfect ride as well.

I would love to own a zhp but its hard to get any more performance out of the car without doing serious upgrades. I have searched for e36 m3's and found a couple i might take a look at. I also started looking newer wrx's but i have never driven one.

get a E90 maybe?
later E46's are pretty good tho.
