It seems like you own every Enco to make such an outrageous claim.

I don't think you read him correctly. He said ALL. Which means, yes. He's contacted and done extensive research on every unit ever sold.

EnDLeSs_27, I am so sorry, I have not read you poll and do my research before I answer and BTW I did not vote yet.

I only know the Enco Android and Win CE version for BMW, while we are in E46 forum I did not take into consideration of other model old or new in my reply. My guess is that if they share the same ROM then the bug of random boot will be same across all models.

However, I am angry with Enco that they do not release their original ROM for us to sort out the problem nor do they pull their finger out and make an update available for us.

If they did that it would be a good product and probably cost as much as a Dynavin.....you get what you pay for.

Don't get me wrong, I am more than happy with my Enco and I only paid for 1/3 of cost of a Dynavin. For the purpose of the poll it say without problem and Enco has problem with the model which fit E46....

2/3 of the Dynavin money goes towards the fund for my tyres which is more important for my M3 than ICE for me.

interesting....no random boot?

if that is solved then Enco is a very good value unit
May I ask does it boot to any specific function or does it stay on the last active screen?

for a poll like this you need to define "problem" ......there is a big difference between "defective" or "broken" and a feature that someone doesnt like or doesnt know how to use. Both can be perceived as "problems". For instance, the ipod interface on the old V5 dynavins was pretty bad, was it defective? No. Was it a "problem"? Yes. The early enco android units did not have working wifi rendering android pretty useless (correct me if im wrong here enco guys), to me that is more than a misunderstanding of a feature, that is "defective".

After being involved in a few thousand of these installs I can tell you for a fact that 9 out of 10 problems are user error or installation error and are due to some kind of misunderstanding about the function in question. Of course (as mentioned earlier) this is also somewhat of a biased sample as users without problems are generally not on forums looking for answers and posting in this thread.....and that probably goes for both dynavin AND enco units.

Ive been keeping up with the enco threads as well and ive seen many "problems" on there that are defective units but I will admit that I have also seen a lot of problems on there that look like user error or installation issues to me....

To my mind the most important thing is what happens if/when you do have a problem (of either kind), is there help or are you on your own? And of course since the prices vary, what is that worth to you?
