Gas smell in oil, any ideas?

Just changed my oil (330i ZHP, w/CAI). Always have used Mobil1 Syn and never go more that 7500 between changes. This change I noticed a strong odor of gas in the oil. Any ideas if this can happen or what could make this happen? Never had ANY engine codes or check engine light? Thanks

Oil can contain a gas smell from blow by, other than that you may have an injector leaking down overnight. Is the car hard to start in the morning?

NO problem starting or running. Everything seems OK but never noticed that strong of an odor before. Maybe all is OK. Thanks for your input!

Any updates on this?

When I checked my oil today I noticed that the dipstick smelt a bit like gasoline. I checked my neighbors E46 and it didn't have that smell. Through searching, some say it's normal, others say it isn't...

I also have the brown/yellow gunk on my oil filler cap, she doesn't.

Any ideas?
