e46 sunroof problems

I've been having problems with my sunroof's vent mode. It will open and close all the way just fine, but when I push the button foreward to have it open as a vent, theres no movement, whats wrong with it?

It is probably a problem with the sunroof switch.

I don't know if all switches are the same. I have an 02, and to put it to vent mode you don't push it forward, but rather push the button in, toward the roof.
