Best MB Quart Component Speakers

I am looking to get a set of MB Quart Component speakers for my 01 coupe. I was wondering which model is the best one out there. Or if you have any other suggestions, let me know. Thanks. And I was also wondering if the Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD headunit is powerful enough to handle components.

Can't go wrong with the QSD's.

Is the RSD a step down from the QSD. There is no way in hell I'm dropping 600-900 on component speakers that is unless that price includes 6 speakers instead of 2.

Imma break it down for u...........
Q series is top of the line
Premium line is next down
Reference is under that
Discuss is bottom of the line
All series come with 4 speakers per box.....2 mids.....2 tweets and 2 crossovers. If you want a nice upgrade go with reference. If you want something real nice go with premium. If you are and audio freak or just like having the best, go with Q series. Pricing on the Q's are pretty high but u got to remember that these are some of the best, if not the best, speakers on the market. When you go with component systems....amps are a must. There is just not enough power in a head unit to power these. The power on the Q's is between 90-170 watts for the 6.5 inch speaker/tweeter combo. The 5 1/4/tweeter combo is slightly less. When buying the Q's 2003 model, expect to pay between $800-900. If you are gettin the 2002 models, you should be able to get em for $600, whereas they were $800 when they came out. The difference is not great so if your shop has the 02's save urself $200. Our shop was making crazy profit of the 02 models. All i have to say i got 2 sets of components for my bro for $370 out the door. (a $1700 value). On the 03's i wouldnt even be able to get $370 for one set. So if ur gettin 02's, try to get the price down. As a matter of fact, my shop still has 2 sets of 02's. Hope this helped.

Give Diamond's M6 line a try. You can get a set of comps for about 250-300 bucks and they are really good for the amount they cost. I have them in my car and

MBQ QSD is the best they make. If you like bright tweets, try focal utopia. They make better mids. If you want a more natural sound try CDT euros or dynaudio.

Give Focal Utopias a try as well.

My friend used to have Qs, until he listened to Focal Utopias. He ended up using the Qs as rear fill and putting Utopias in the front.

Now, me and all his other buddies bought Utopias. It's a frikkin sweet azz speaker, the midrange/midbass is the tightest and clearest I've ever heard from a comp. set.
