My Ride: 01 330ci
Service engine light

My service engine light comes on and goes off on it on accord. It will be off for like 1000miles then come on for a few hundred on and off for a while now . I had it looked at lean bank 1 2 and a misfire anyone have any ideas

I do live at 6500ft and top grade fuel here is 91 maybe 92 could that have anything to do with it

I did just discover quite a few cracks in the tube from the throttle bodie to the mad.anyone have an extra

I dont think cracks would do it. If the cracks are letting air out, then yes. It can cause a slight misfire. I had this.. this led to 6 misfires.

That's actually we're it's cracked I'm taking it in to get the front end looked at tomorrow and I'll gave them order a new hose

Order it online, and save a ton of money. The dealer charges too much.

its a cheap part. I didnt even feel misfires. It was so minimal.

If it doesn't stay on constant I don't worry considering all the things that could cause the light to come on that are simple like not running 93+ octane or the gas cap not being tight or simple things it's getting fixed today anyways

There are a dozen or so reasons why the service light would come on; for me, it has been a lose gas cap after refilling. I actually had to buy a new gas cap to replace the one the one I had. Since then, 3 months already, I haven't seen that light again...

Should be about $15-20 per elbow from www.bmwmeredesparts.com and they probably offer free shipping as well.

Lean in bank 1 and 2 a misfire detected and low fuel. Already replaced the first boot from the maf to the throttle bodie what's next fuel filter or pump
