@CSlee - Sorry, I was out of town for the holiday- just sent you tracking info.

We'll do a coupon for folks who have already picked up a kit - More Car Krackers are coming Tuesday, and I'll have more details then. Of course, if you've already go the kit and the Car Kracker 3, we'll issue a partial refund to your card.

nmcclana, I ordered the original kit but had no luck getting it working. I also ordered the Car Kracker 3 right when it was announced and have yet to receive my kit. Can I PM or email you with my details? It'd be great to get my Kracker 3 kit and the partial refund. Thanks.

Lots of static

I have gotten my cracker together and have been working with it in music mode, but have lots of static. Hiss and pops over the speakers, have nothing like that with radio and or built in cd player. I have tried checking all the points on the cracker for loos connections. Any ideas or ways to try and test the cd changer sending signal?

The site says these are out of stock, due back around November 7th. Is there a more firm ETA for these? As well, what other forms of bluetooth support exist apart from A2DP? Would it support a bluetooth keyboard that could simulate iBus button presses? Or perhaps the Sony Playstation III Blu-Ray bluetooth remote, complete with a nice vinyl overlay to format the controller into something useful for the car?

How quickly can the K-Bus be polled?

I've always been curious if the nav computer could be queried as well, that would enhance the datalogging feature tremendously.

What of the TV input without using a module? It's RGB input with a separate sync, perhaps there's a module that could send this device's output to the BordMonitor's RGB in? There's just so much potential here..

Get a line filter from your local electronics store, it's not a kracker fault

Hey Polar! I've been working away on big firmware update, but more Car Kracker 3's will be available shortly. The ibus (and dbus) run at 9600 bps - about 1000 bytes per second, although most modules take around 20ms to respond. dbus runs at the same data rate, but is much faster as there's less traffic. There's much more data, too - like individual wheel speed, intake air volume, and oil temp. The Car Kracker Hardware already works with dbus, the upcoming firmware update expands dbus capabilities, among other things.

Nav can be polled for GPS coordinates, although that's not in the current firmware. The Car Kracker can already output NTSC / PAL baseband, which I believe is compatible with the 'backup' camera. Bluetooth depends on the module you use - there's already a header for serial-style bluetooth modules available from ebay for about $10.

Are these back in stock yet? The site seems to mention around Nov 7th, but no updates have been made available yet to that time frame.

The line filter goes between which two pins on the 6pin connector and which two pins on the kracker?

Hey Noblesin -
I're still here, but I'm still sold out on Car Krackers - I've been working on a major software update. PM me your email address and I'll make sure you get a refund and I'll let you know when they're back in stock.

Hi !

I'm really interested in your project.

Is it possible to have a little preview (maybe a list ?) of the future features you're working on ?

On Youtube there's a video of an incoming Tweet shown on the radio screen with the carkracker. Is it bluetooth transferred ? I see a bluetooth connection on the card, do you already have a working bluetooth module ? (the unlock doors with bluetooth feature makes me dream...).

Last question : do you have an idea of a "back in stock" date ? because I REALLY WANT ONE !

I'm really sorry for this questioning... and wish you a nice day.
