I've used BMTS with good results. Similar situation where I supplied the parts (A/C overhaul).

Pretty easy DIY.

I hear Mike at Brisbane Performance & Prestige is good though. Haven't used them personally yet though.

I've used BMTS and was reasonably happy on the E36 M3. He spent a fair bit of time looking at my clutch including calling around to see if it was "normal"

RX Automotive usually get a pretty good rap but I've not used them. Will probably look to take the E46 M3 there soon to get a midway oil service, diff oil change and brake fluid.

You can reset the cluster yourself (there are videos on Youtube). Stamps mean very little in a log book when you have receipts etc.

How open are mechanics with you supplying them with parts yourself? Do they increase labour costs if you bring the parts?

I've found good mechanics will charge you the same for a part that you could get them for anyway.

On a side note, make sure you don't go to:-
- McCarthy's Kenmore
- Westside BMW
- Brisbane Motor Works

They're all European and BMW specialists but I hear nothing but bad feedback about them.

Another vote for RX Automotive. They're members of the BMW Club and know what they're doing.

RX Automotive, best mix of intelligence and economy, Brisbane Motor Works caused the death of one of our E34 M20 engines due to an incompetent apprentice.

Any feedback on Selective Motors on Amy St in Albion?

I drive past McCarthys in Kenmore every day and wondered about them. Guess I won't be going near them now!

So seems like the general concensus is RX Automotive and/or Accelerative Automotive, both in Coopers Plains, is the go for BMW servicing...Which is the better out of the two then?

I'm up for a 200,000 soon (well.... 2000km ago). I might give RX a try.

Cheers, Brett

GT Auto Garage at Aspley (have moved recently from Newmarket).

Very knowledgable guys and undertake excellent work.

Have taken everything from my E46 3181 through to my E46 M3 and E60 M5 to them.

Need fab work done? No worries - Dave Johnson is your man.

Want a before and after Dyno? No worries - onsite dyno facility.

Has anyone here used Prestige & Performance in Coorparoo? Was thinking of trying them out next time I need any work done.
