Bad gasoline

I went to fill up this last weekend and I had about 1/3 of tank left. filled up with 93 octane and went about 20 minutes down the road. I started to feel a little hesitation in the car at lower speeds. The next day I started up the car and it threw the check engine light and the car ran rough. I went and put a bottle of seafoam in and drove it about 40 miles. I used about a 1/3 of the tank and went back to fill up at a different station with 93. We had flash flooding rains in Charlotte the day before I filled up and am thinking some of the rain might have got into the underground tanks at the gas station. The car is running rough but runs - do I just run the gas out of the tank? Would a little bit of water hurt anything?

Water will sink to the bottom of the tank, so it will get sucked out first. It will make the car run poorly, and it ought to throw a check engine light. If the quantity is small, then it should pass relatively quickly, and the car should clear itself up in short order.

get some Heet or dry gas from walmart. its basically pure alcohol and it absorbs the water.

DONT USE DRY GAS - the alcohol attacks the contacts in the fuel pump - then you will be USCWAP. PM me, I'm in Charlotte NC and can help you out.

pretty much all gas stations have ethanol in their gas, so whats your point?
besides its only 16oz in 16gal, not even 1% compare to the federal 10% ethanol.
