Do I need to change my timeing chain

I have a 325ci with 110k I was wondering if I need to do the timing chain on it

If you don't hear a noise coming from that area then no. They are not timing belts and are made to last.

Are they self tensioning? Inspection somehow?

no you do not change chains on our cars unless you want to beef it up to the s54 chain
