FS: Lowering springs from a 2002 E46 xiT
Used springs from my 2002 325xiT. PO installed these on the wagon I just bought. Not my style and not really practical for where I drive; too many bumps and the roads are too topologically interesting. So, I replaced with stock springs. PO said these came from Bav Auto, which makes me think they are something like Bav Auto part number SK E461 416. I have included photos of the part numbers printed on the springs...if you have a better idea about what these are feel free to let me know.
They are not pristine. Peeling paint and some rust/grease are evident. See photos for actual condition. They do make for significantly tighter handling and a sporty ride. If I could have this handling and not bottom out in the winter where I live, i'd be tempted to keep them. I think $100 USD + actual shipping is fair. If this is too low, feel free to offer me more. |

Any interest? If my price is off, let me know. I am not using these and would be happy to have them enjoyed by someone.

Yes they did. Will see if I can dig up some photos, but my rough estimate was ~1.5" lower with these.

Thanks. I'm trying to find out if wagon springs will work on a sedan.

Not the best photos, but should give you an idea. Note that my snow tires (on the stock height version) are on smaller rims but have a higher profile than my Summer tires (on the car in the lowered version).
With lowering springs, as are for sale in this thread: ![]() With stock height springs: Last edited by s1am; 03-20-2012 at 03:39 PM. |

A little more info for people who might be interested in these. I just got a shipping quote for sending them to CA (from my location in VT, so CONUS shipping should be this or less):
UPS Ground is $37 FedEx Ground is $40 USPS Priority is ~$60 Springs are all packed up and looking for a home. Last edited by s1am; 05-29-2012 at 08:40 AM. |

learned a bit more about the difference between stock (OEM) springs for sedans vs tourings. It looks like the stock touring spring is ~0.6" longer than the stock sedan spring. I do not have an aftermarket sedan version of the springs I am selling here for comparison. My guess is that since they are lower than stock on a touring they would be lower than stock on a sedan but perhaps not by as much as a sedan sport spring? Nonetheless they would likely be workable on a sedan.
