e46 328i build.. q&a
Looking to improve my 00 328i with 150k.
The car runs great. Been keeping up with maintenance and am going to replace the cooling system. My plan for mods are; m54b30 intake manifold headers (spray with coating and wrap afterwards) Active Autowerke tune I hear this will net me some decent gains. Any suggestions or advice? |

Afe intake, I love my stage 2.
And what intake manifold u using? I'm looking to replace mine with something better. Also looking for aftermarket headers. And a catback helps and sounds great on these cars imo. I I'd a 2.25 straight pipe from the 2nd res back sounds great no drone and was cheap |

AA tune has been shown to be quite useless unless you're charged, the consensus seems to be shark injector. Why would you coat headers and then wrap afterwards? Look at true cold air intakes if you want to make a little power (cosmos racing). |

In reference to the AA tune, I had thought by putting on the B30 Intake Manifold and headers that my AFR would be out of wack. I hear putting on headers alone makes you run lean. I'd rather not run lean.
I was going to coat the headers just to 'protect' them from rust. The wrap was to keep the underhood temps down, and if I ever had to do work under the hood I wouldn't have to worry about melting my skin off lol. I know it sounds a little silly, but header wrap is cheap and I like the look of it. |
