-=UPDATED=- [VIC] "OMFG" Its A TRACK MEET!! - 15th Sept

UPDATE:

We will be attending this race track with another BMW club/Race team (Bell Motor Sports).
Bell Motor Sport have graciously allowed us to come and use the track with them.

I will have complete details as I am discussing with Bell Motor Sport all the details tomorrow but so far, its a YES and the date is the 15th September.
Price estimate is $120-$130 but again I will confirm.

Yes sirs! You read that title right!

Lets welcome spring with abit of a bang shall we?

Time 730AM-8AM @ Winton Motor RaceWay

Pre Meet? To be discussed, We need to set a meet point to drive together down to the raceway for anyone that doesn't know the way. Approx 2.5 hours out of Melbourne.

On The Day:

8AM to 9.30AM

Driver Registration, Safety briefing on track, scrutineering.

9AM to 12PM

Were on the track, warm Ups, feel for the track, laps

12PM to 1PM

Lunch!

1PM to 5PM

Back on the track, circuit race/drags with fellow fanatics

5PM
End of a kick ass day!

Do's & Do Not's

DO Be respectful around the other BMW club members, after all its THEIR day.

DON'T
hoon/be a dick to and from the Raceway.

DO Bring cardboard or anything else to cover up your number plate and registration sticker. We will be stopping 1-2KM away from the entrance before and after. (This is to prevent any insurers from obtaining our details). Stop Point is indicated on map with a RED ARROW

DO Wear appropriate clothing, long sleeve shirt/jumper, pants, jeans, enclosed shoes.

DO Bring a helmet if you have one, if not, Winton Motor Race Way can provide you with one.

DO Bring food and drink and cash for any purchases.

Extra costs may be required to purchase insurance on the day from the Race Way. This is a question I will ask as I am currently in discussions with them.

I am also inquiring about a BBQ area, if so, we might all chip in to buy a few meat trays and drinks.

Post below if your interested in coming!
I will have further details hopefully by the end of the week.

Feel free to discuss more options etc.

Hope to see you all there!

I'm interested, will there be official timing?

Wait to you get on private land before you cover up/remove your rego plates, Police generally floating around the entrance

Why bother covering licence plates for insurance? What does that achieve other than potential jail time if you bin it and claim it.
