I called Active Autowerke this morning, and the guy in Technical Support said that though all the parts would fit, the C-38 blower is too much blower for a 325...would require too large of a pulley to get boost down. The E46 325 uses a C-30 blower.

The rest of the components are the same.

Bottom line: will not work on a 325.

I want this kit sold, so I'm lowering the price to $2,900, not including shipping. That is $2,000 below the Active Autowerke online price! Contact me thru email to CaptWSims@yahoo.com.

How is it "too much blower" for a 2.5 liter? There has to be a better answer than that.

Active told me the same thing, that the 330 blower is too much for the 325!

Iceman, that was a quote from AA Technical Support. He elaborated that the boost would be too high on a 2.5. I asked about installing a bigger supercharger pulley and he responded that it would require a bigger one than could be fitted....

To figure shipping cost here are the box measurements: 17 inches wide, 18 inches long, 16 inches height. Weight 51 pounds. Ships from zip code 70448, either UPS or USPS. Websites to calculate shipping cost to your address:

http://postcalc.usps.com (for Post Office)
http://www.theupsstore.com/ctc/Pages...ping-cost.aspx (for UPS)

Why is it a stupid answer? Is there something I missing here?

I believe Tech at AA know what they were talking about. And I've designed and developed a FI system for a car type that had never been supercharged before, so I know more about FI than most people...an Alfa Romeo Milano race car I supercharged was featured on the cover of a book on supercharging, and I have had people from all over the world inquiring about supercharging. That background gives me a good basis for evaluating Active Autowerke's Technical Support, and IMO they know their stuff.

I see you have over 2,000 posts on this site and I am a newbie here, but I have been building high performance and race engines for 40 years and may know something by now...and I know when to listen to someone who is a pro and works with a specific system every day. If they say the C-38 pumps too much air for a streetable 2.5 then I'm taking their word for it. Besides, it is a moot issue...kit was sold to a guy who is putting it in a 330.

The boost is too high how? The 2.5 and the 2.8 are pretty much the same with the exception of the crank (and transmission, but that isn't a part of the "engine") So I'm asking what makes mounting this supercharger a physical impossibility.
